ShadyWinds - It was a hot sunny day but there was cool wind blowing over the hills. I found a spot in the shade and positioned myself where I could still feel the breeze. In the distance Bluegrass drifted from the festival stage to where I was enjoying my shadywind.
My Blog - I've had been thinking for a while that I should start blogging again, but what would I blog about these days? I thought of several topics I knew well enough to write about but it seemed a bit pointless. Firstly, most of these topics already had countless blogs dedicated to it already, so what would my blog add. Secondly, any topic I might pick also had many people far more well versed in the subject than me.
More importantly, I wanted a blog topic that I personally found really interesting. My knowledge, however, of topics I currently found interesting were best describe as nascent. First and foremost among these potential interesting but personally as yet under-explored topics was Folk and Bluegrass. Any attempt to write authoritatively on such would have seemed very shady indeed.
The problem, however, was also the answer.
Don't blog authoritative but instead blog nascently.
ShadyWinds is my personal journey, exploring a world that is still largely new to me - Folk, Bluegrass, Celtic, Appalachian, Old Time and more.
